Members report on-the-spot business orders, exchange referrals and explore new collaborations at an engaging networking meet Gurugram: The recent gathering of the Kashmir Progressive Chamber of Commerce (KPCC) proved to be much more than a networking evening, with members securing business orders, exchanging valuable referrals and discussing new collaboration opportunities. The meeting also marked an important step forward in KPCC’s efforts to build a stronger, community-driven entrepreneurship ecosystem. The evening was characterised by positive energy, meaningful conversations and strong camaraderie among participating entrepreneurs. Alongside strengthening existing relationships, members explored potential partnerships and discussed ways to generate more business opportunities within the community. A notable outcome was the booking of business orders during the gathering itself. Members also exchanged numerous referrals, reinforcing KPCC’s core philosophy of helping businesses grow through mutual support, trust and collaboration. KPCC to Establish an Angel Investment Group One of the key decisions taken at the meeting was the formation of a dedicated KPCC Angel Investment Group to identify and nurture promising businesses from their early stages. The proposed initiative will go beyond financial investment. It will aim to provide budding entrepreneurs with mentorship, business guidance, strategic support and access to markets, helping them transform promising ideas into sustainable enterprises. The initiative has already received commitments from four prospective angel investors. A separate group will be constituted to take the initiative forward, with Upender Bhat entrusted with its leadership. Through this initiative, KPCC aims to create a structured pathway for promising entrepreneurs to access not only capital but also the experience, networks and guidance required to build successful businesses. Greater Emphasis on Women Entrepreneurs The second major decision was to intensify efforts to encourage and empower women entrepreneurs within the Kashmiri Pandit community. KPCC recognises the important role women can play in building successful enterprises, nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs and strengthening the community’s social and economic foundations. The proposed efforts will focus on encouraging more women to pursue entrepreneurship, providing access to business networks and mentorship, and creating opportunities for their enterprises to grow. KPCC has also emphasised that this focused initiative will complement, rather than replace, its wider commitment to supporting all entrepreneurs. Businesses across the ecosystem will continue to receive attention and support, irrespective of who leads them. Building an Ecosystem, Not Just a Networking Platform These initiatives reflect KPCC’s evolving vision of becoming a comprehensive entrepreneurship support platform for the community. By combining business referrals, collaborative opportunities, mentorship, market access and potential investment support, KPCC aims to create an environment in which entrepreneurs can learn from one another, build sustainable businesses and generate opportunities for the wider community. The gathering reinforced a simple but powerful idea: when entrepreneurs come together with a spirit of collaboration, individual success can translate into collective progress.
